It is ondicated for patients enrolled with peptic ucler disease and duodenal
secretion by inhibiting the proton pump (H + / K +-ATPase) of parietal cells of the gastric mucosa.
It is indicated for patients enrolled with peptic ulcer disease and duodenal ulcer, gastric ulcer and ulcer associated with Helicobacter pylori infection in combination with specific antibiotic therapy, reflux esophagitis, including patients with Barrett's esophagus and even in individuals who do not respond satisfactorily to Suitable treatment with histamine H2 receptor antagonists, in the initial and maintenance treatment in cases of recurrent peptic ulcer disease, and in the long-term treatment in patients with or without hypersecretory Zollinger-Ellison syndrome.
CONTRAINDICATIONS: Hypersensitivity to the components of the formula, severe renal impairment (creatinine clearance <30ml/min).

DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION: Oral.
Duodenal ulcer: We recommend 1 capsule daily for 4 weeks.
Gastric ulcer: We recommend 1 capsule daily for 8 weeks. Should not healed ulcers may continue treatment at 4 weeks physician's discretion.
Reflux esophagitis and Barrett's esophagus: We recommend 1 capsule daily for 4 to 8 weeks. According to the endoscopic results, treatment may be continued over 4 weeks.
Ulcer refractory to treatment with H2 antagonists: 1 capsule a day for 4 weeks. In patients without scarring after this time, we recommend continuing the same dose for another 4 weeks. In special cases can be given 60 mg a day.
Peptic ulcer associated with Helicobacter pylori infection: To eradicate it, we recommend 1 capsule daily for 4 to 8 weeks, concomitantly with specific antibiotic such as amoxicillin and clarithromycin.
Zollinger-Ellison syndrome: The recommended initial dose of 60 mg per day and should be individually adjusted and treatment continued for as long as necessary. Divided doses have been administered every 12 hours of 90 mg per day.
The prescription of higher doses of 120 mg per day should be split.It is not necessary to modify the dose in elderly patients with renal or liver or kidney, but should not be given doses above 30 mg daily.
