The active substance is cefaclor orally . Presentations powder for extemporaneous solution should invest gently tapping the vial until the powder is not attached to the walls. For the treatment of acute NGU men and women in a single dose of 3 g of cefaclor with 1 g of probenecid will be administered .

Impaired renal function:
No adjustment of the dose of cefaclor in patients with moderate or severe impairment of renal function is required .
The usual duration of treatment is usually 7 to 14 days.
In the treatment of infection by beta-hemolytic streptococci in sinusitis and infections from S. pyogenes , therapeutic doses must be administered cefaclor , for at least 10 days.

Like all medicines, cefaclor may cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
Between 5% and 50% of patients experience some sort of adverse effect , but only between 2% and 10% suffer from effects of a certain intensity .
The most common side effects are allergic disorders ( rash rashes , itching , fever, eosinophilia) , gastrointestinal (diarrhea , nausea , vomiting ) and genitourinary (vaginitis , vaginal candidiasis).
There have been rare allergic reactions or other serious hypersensitivity ( the Stevens- Johnson syndrome , toxic epidermal necrolysis , and anaphylaxis ) . As with other penicillins and cephalosporins , has rarely been reports of transient hepatitis and yellowing of the skin problems of bile flow ( cholestatic jaundice). Rarely has appeared reversible kidney inflammation (reversible interstitial nephritis) .
During treatment with cefaclor has been reported slight increases in liver enzymes (AST , ALT and alkaline phosphatase ) and changes in blood cells (eosinophilia and rarely thrombocytopenia) .
