Vermox SUSP 20mg 30ml, Mebendazole
THERAPEUTIC INDICATIONS: Vermox ® is indicated for the treatment of gastrointestinal infections caused by one or a combination of Enterobius vermicularis (pinworm), Trichuris trichiura (whipworm), Ascaris lumbricoides (roundworms), Ancylostoma duodenale (hookworm), Necator americanus (hookworm) Strongyloides stercoralis, Taenia spp (worm, lonely).
Vermox ® Tablets 100 mg or suspension 100 mg / 5 ml (20 mg / ml) is indicated for the treatment of gastrointestinal infestation by Enterobius vermicularis. It is recommended that treatment should be repeated after 2 and 4 weeks.
Vermox ® Tablets 100 mg or suspension 100 mg / 5 ml (20 mg / ml) twice daily, morning and evening for 3 consecutive days for the treatment of ascariasis, trichuriasis, necatoriasis and infestation in children and adults mixed .
For the treatment of taeniasis and strongyloidiasis in children, 1 tablet of 100 mg or 5 ml suspension (20 mg / ml), twice daily for 3 consecutive days. In children <1 year, see precautions.
For adults it has been suggested are prescribed 2 tablets or 10 ml suspension twice daily, morning and evening, for 3 consecutive days for a complete cure.
No special procedures are required, such as diet or use of laxatives.
In patients living in highly endemic areas, regular treatment with Vermox ® Tablets 500 mg and Vermox ® Suspension 600 mg/10 mL single dose (3-4 times a year) should significantly reduce the global burden of parasites and kept in a good level below clinical significance
CONTRAINDICATIONS: Vermox ® is contraindicated in persons with known hypersensitivity to mebendazole or any of its components.
DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION: Oral.

Enterobiasis:
Children and adults: 1 tablet or 5 ml of suspension in a single dose. It is known that reinfection with Enterobius vermicularis are very common so it is recommended to repeat the treatment after 2 or 4 weeks, particularly in eradication programs.
Ascariasis, trichuriasis, hookworm and mixed infections:
Children and adults: 1 tablet 100 mg twice daily or 5 ml of suspension in the morning and evening for 3 consecutive days.
Taeniasis and strongyloidiasis:
Adults: Although favorable results with low doses, it is suggested to take 2 tablets twice daily or 2 teaspoons of 5 ml of suspension in the morning and evening for three consecutive days for complete eradication.
Even with high doses are rare undesirable effects:
Children: 1 tablet twice daily or 1 teaspoon
5 ml suspension twice daily for 3 consecutive days. It requires no special procedures, such as diet or use of laxatives.
